The Scorched Basin is a 300+ page guide to a Mad Max/Dune-inspired desert TTRPG setting. As you attempt to survive the hostile terrains and brutal weather, you will encounter the savage tribes of the basin. Wild Tribes And Diverse NPCs

The Scorched Basin is the home of 5 incomparable tribes. Each tribe has a wealth of culture to experience and explore. Why not take part in long-held traditions, indulge in public celebrations, learn unique languages, and gain untold powers!? 

Each tribe has many wonderful NPCs to trade, party, learn, and connect with. Each of these NPCs comes with a comprehensive description, system agnostic stat block, backstory, personality, and room for growth/development.

A Setting That Feels Alive

This hellish desert landscape is ever-changing and constantly fighting back. The harsh weather and terrains endlessly shift, making no two journeys across the basin the same. Throughout the 7 diverse terrains there are 12 key locations.

Each tribe’s key location includes stunning multi-layered battle maps to enhance your visual immersion. Every room, building, cave, hut, wreckage, etc., is fully enterable/playable/combat-ready.

Land Vehicles

This humongous setting comes with 6 grungy Mad-Max-style Bashers (land vehicles). Unlock even more immersive storytelling possibilities by holding volatile races, causing destructive battles, and escaping unrelenting creatures.

Each Basher has a system agnostic stat block and functions using our ground-breaking HaTD Land Vehicle Mechanics, which include 3D movement and combat. Every tier comes with these mechanics to help shift your game up into the NEXT GEAR!

Bashers are broken into innovative Parts and Stations which will also be made available in the HaTDBuilder post Kickstarter fulfilment.

No desert setting is complete without captivating Flora and Fauna that’s either trying to kill you or aid your adventures. A myriad of never-before-seen creatures and plant life inhabit each terrain. We have also included some fan favorites, like the MONSTROUS Dune Eaters (our version of Giant Sandworms)!

Languages: Discover and learn 3 one-of-a-kind fantasy languages spoken in the Scorched Basin. Each language comes with an alphabet and all the tools needed to utilize them in your games (including typeable fonts available with Scorched Basin Extras).

We based Iimana (Unsettled Language) on a sign language to spread Deaf awareness and accessibility. By allowing Players and GMs to learn American Sign Language (ASL) in a fun, relaxed setting like the TTRPG table, we hope more people around the world will be able to communicate with those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Kodo (Doflok Language) is based on International Morse Code, a language that transcends regions. In recent years, Morse Code has been adopted by those who have had their communication impaired by a stroke, heart attack, paralysis, etc. Kodo aims to further expand people’s abilities to implement communication accessibility.

HaTDBuilder: The HaTDBuilder is a modular vehicle 5e/2024 stat block generator allowing users to create their dream Zephyrs (Airships) from over 300 Parts and Stations.
New Parts and Stations are added every month and we intend to start adding the (system agnostic) Scorched Basin Land Vehicle Parts and Stations too after we have developed a system agnostic version of the builder. Development on that will begin after Scorched Basin Kickstarter has been fulfilled.
